5CJ CATALYST FROM MITSUBISHI GALANT

Catalysts 5CJ were used in the production of the Mitsubishi Galant model with a 2.5-liter engine in 2000-2003. These catalysts are large in size – up to 55 cm in length. The weight of the catalyst exceeds 1.5 kg. This catalyst has elongated, flattened edges and a fairly symmetrical shape apart from the outlet ends.

Galant is a car manufactured by the Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi from 1969-2012. The name of the model comes from the French word “galant”, meaning “knightly”. There were nine different generations of this model with total sales in excess of five million units. Production began with a compact sedan, but over the years the Galant was turned into a mid-size car. Initial production took place in Japan, but since 1994. The U.S. market was served by cars assembled at the former Diamond-Star Motors (DSM) plant in Normal, Illinois.

The first generation of the car, originally known as the Colt Galant, was released in 1969. in December at the new Japanese Mitsubishi showroom called Galant Shop. Mitsubishi called the project Dynawedge, citing the impact of aerodynamics on the car’s silhouette.
